One of my all-time favorite hats and, unwaveringly remains so, year after year. 🥰💕🧶 Wicked Twisted is THE PERFECT intro to colorwork/1st colorwork project. You will be switching colors, every two stitches, so there is no need to lock your floats. Which means there isn’t a new technique giving you pressure or holding you back from making this fabulous hat! With two skeins you can make TWO hats in opposite color combos! This hat is stunning in all color combos (using two colors, with drastic contrast, lends itself to amazing POP…a true statement). It is superb for team colors. And because of the colorwork, throughout, it is so nice and warm.

This insanely fun and handsome hat is broken down to 3 sizes and includes a “his & hers” cable pattern as well as two brim options (ribbed turned brim & button flap brim). Wicked Twisted is worked in the round (except for the button flap brim/band option) on size 5 16-inch circulars, first, and then on size 6 16-inch circulars. This pattern is a FABULOUS first colorwork project. And, you can pull off two hats, in opposite colors, with two skeins!

Gauge for cable pattern: 6 stitches per inch.

Materials needed:
2 skeins of Yarnitoli DK (you will use approximately half of each!)
Size 5 16-inch circular needles (or magic loop is fine)
Size 6 16-inch circular needles (or magic loop is fine)
Cable needle
Size 6 DPN’s (or magic loop is fine)
Darning needle
1 large or 3 small buttons (for button flap brim)
