Yet another special hat “order” from my Cameron Nello, for his father. His dad, Andy, and I met playing college baseball & fastpitch. Our Cameron has now played 5 years of select baseball and is a multi-sport scholar athlete. Our love for baseball runs very deep & through our blood. To my Cameron & me, this stitch pattern somewhat (or mayyybe even REALLY) resembles a plethera of baseball diamonds and turf outfields (lucky kids!) which are part of his everyday life. Here's to Andy Duke, his relentless dedication to our son's baseball career, and to being a damn good dad & friend. We've known each other 27 years (1996) and I consider him one of my best friends. So, here's to exemplary co-parenting as well! *high-five Andy*!!!
Diamonds & Turf features a gorgeous seed stitch diamond lattice stitch pattern. The sharp & spectacular texture lends itself sooooo beautifully to tonals (which happen to be my absolute favorite thing!). I sure hope you enjoy making this hat because I sure did. I would absolutely LOVE to see yours! If you are in my Yarnitoli Facebook group (link below), it would make my day if you shared photos there! But even an email with pictures will make my day (email@example.com), too!
